The South African Mercantile Corporation (Pty) Limited ("SAMC") was founded in the 1930's and finally incorporated as SAMC in 1946 as a customs clearing and forwarding company. SAMC is one of the largest privately owned freight forwarders in South Africa.

SAMC has branches in Johannesburg, Durban, East London and Cape Town. SAMC is also associated with an independent network of International Freight Forwarders, with whom we are able to monitor and control shipments to and from all countries in the world, ensuring efficient and cost effective air and sea freight services to our many clients.
